UNIT 2  –  Session  5  [Week 5]

Tues 10/29/13   and   Thurs  10/31/13

=>KIP in the BIZ – Mindset  /  Beliefs  /  Money

How you think about money speaks to your mindset and your mindset drills to the deeper layer of your beliefs … what you believe to be true about yourself and about money.

In this segment we examine what you believe about money, how you got those beliefs and how we will work to change them for sustainable, lasting change.  Being successful in business is not just about how well you do the business you do, but it is also about how you feel about money, and how you feel about yourself and having money. How you feel about money are your beliefs and some of our beliefs remain unknown to us until we allow ourselves to open to understanding them.  We are a product of all of our past and it is how we use what we’ve experienced, and what we’ve learned that will become the difference in our success and failure.

=>BIZ DEVELOPMENT FOCUS – Laying the Foundation of Business

There are several moving parts to a well-run business.  As we set the strategy and do the work to develop what your business needs, we will be setting a firm foundation, or reinforcing your existing foundation so you can grow quickly and easily.  Doing so means we will look at 7 Key Areas of a Profitable Business …

  1. Mindset – Having a belief system that supports working with ease and allowing clients and money to be attracted to you are essential.
  2. Niche – Knowing who your ideal market is will greatly enhance your marketing efforts. You’ll be able to speak specifically to this niche and draw others in as you are addressing the needs of your ideal clients.
  3. Right Product – Your product and/or service is the right things for someone, or some group. Determining who your product best serves, where your interest lies in communicating about your product/service, you increase your success exponentially.
  4. Right Marketing – There are certain things you want to tell your ideal client/customer that will perk them up and have them clamoring to listen to you about what you offer. The way you say what you have to offer can make you or break you. Let’s say it and present it right.
  5. Right Focus – Many people think that getting out to a hundred networking groups to let people know who you are is key. It’s not key, but it is a component. There are other things you must focus on as well to ensure that you are taking the right actions.
  6. Right Action – Determining what those little things, done consistently over an extended period of time are isn’t hard, but it does take some discipline to ensure you’re doing them.
  7. Right People – Finding the right people to introduce your product and/or service to is another key element that must be given some thought and a strategy built to ensure your approach is the one that will get their attention. You don’t have to be a salesperson to get the sale, but you do have to talk to the right people and say the right things.

=>During your P3 PREMIER COACHING GROUP participation, you will have HOMEWORK!! Yes – Homework that we will call GROWTH WORK!

The Formula for Business Success is …         BE  x  DO  =  HAVE This is the Formula for Success in Business and in Life!

However, the 1st thing that must be present in this formula is the “HAVE”.  Hmmm.  Why, you ask?

Knowing what you DESIRE to HAVE gives you powerful positive energy around why you are doing what you are doing in your business.

==>GROWTH WORK THIS WEEK:

Begin to think about your ‘WHY’ … Why you are doing your business … then think about WHAT DO YOU WANT TO HAVE?   Actually, think about What You Want to Have in life and with your business and determine Why you are doing your business.

Write a list of 5 (and not more than 10) things you desire to HAVE in your life, remembering that your business will help you to get it.

Now prioritize that list in order from 1 to 5, where #1 would give you the most joy.  Prioritize your list based on what you desire to have that would give you the feelings of greatest … peace, love, joy, flow, energy, gratitude, precious time, blessed connections, etc.

Now, write a brief description of WHY you want/desire to HAVE that #1 thing you desire to have, and really focus on what the feelings are surrounding What You Desire to Have. Nothing is too big and nothing is too small. If you have thoughts of selfishness, of doubt, or of what others might think, put them aside for now and just DREAM and write …

– WHY do you want to HAVE that #1 thing you want to have? – How will it make you feel? – What will you be able to do because of having it? – Will anyone else benefit because of what you want to have?

Don’t spend a lot of time on this, just write what comes up. I look forward to exploring the answers next week.  If you have any questions about this assignment, email me.

UNIT  1 – Session  2  [Week  2]

Tues 10/8/13   and   Thurs  10/10/13

=>KIP in the BIZ – VISION –Playing Small Serves No One / Changing The Rules

What have you been taught about building a dream for your business?  Do you have a business plan that clearly lays out your vision for your business, whether it’s a 3-year, 5-year, 10-year, or 20-year plan?  If you have a business plan, did you see in completing it that your vision may have been a bit too small?

Are you showing up in your full power and Divine energy saying “Hello!” to the world and allowing the world to say “Hello!” right back?  If not, you’re going to understand what’s holding you back and why. Did you know that it’s your birthright to be wealthy, and it’s your past that keeps you from it?  If you think it’s because you made mistakes, or you just can’t help it, that’s only partially the truth.

Irrespective  of what you think might be the reasons, when you know exactly what they are, you can claim your Divine power and see how playing small hurts more than it helps anything or anyone, especially you.

=>BIZ DEVELOPMENT FOCUS – The 4 Key Roles in Every Organization

There are several moving parts to a well-run business enterprise or organization.  As we set the strategy and do the work to develop what your business needs, we will be setting a firm foundation, or reinforcing your existing foundation so you can grow quickly and easily.  As an entrepreneur, you may wear all the hats that the organization has, or you may wear a few and outsource some responsibilities.

We examine all of the responsibilities of an entrepreneur so you can decide what can be outsourced, when and what resources you will use to delegate these tasks to. Because you delegate tasks does not mean you, as entrepreneur, relinquish control or abdicate your responsibility to the overall business. You are the business owner and responsible for even the parts of your business you outsource.

Here are the 4 Key Officer Roles in Every Organization

  1. CEO – the person who owns the enterprise and is responsible for its’ success, organizational structure, team management; highest level of approvals for the external and internal management of the business; also generally acts as President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the organization, whether a corporation, LLC, or partnership.
  2. CFO – the person responsible for the financial status of the enterprise, include oversight of revenue and expenses, reporting the financial position of the business, and employment/resource matters; generally also a voting member of the Board of Directors.
  3. COO – the person responsible for the overall operations of the business enterprise, including supply chain management, customer and client relationship management, functioning of the organizational structure, and all technical matters (i.e., computer networks, technical troubleshooting, etc.); also generally a voting member of the Board of Directors.
  4. CMO – the person responsible for the development, implementation and management of any marketing that transitions into sales; the driver of revenue for the business; usually a non-voting member of the Board of Directors.

What type of an organization are you?  Whether you’re a sole proprietorship, a corporation, a limited liability company, a general partnership, or a limited partnership, you must have a specific outline of your organization.

Using the attached P3Coaching_Org_Chart, show your business structure.  This should match the way you have your business outlined in your business plan, and if you don’t have a business plan, or it’s not yet complete, this will become a key piece of that document.  Identifying these key roles will help you also look at what you can/will outsource to capable and collaborative business partners. It is in completing these pieces of your business that fortify your vision.  Just because your organization looks like this today, doesn’t mean it will look this way in a year or 10 years from now. The task at hand is to lay out the org chart the ways things are right now.

This is the Formula for Success in Business and in Life! However, the 1st thing that must be present in this formula is the “HAVE”.  Do you remember that knowing what you DESIRE to HAVE gives you powerful positive energy around why you are doing what you are doing in your business?

Using the exercise here, complete your Mission and your Vision Statements.  While I want you to give good consideration to what these statements will mean to you and your business, don’t spend a lot of time on this.  Write your statements and we will review them to ensure they have the energy, the personality, and the impact that you’d like so your message is well communicated.  I look forward to exploring the answers on Thursday and in next week’s session.  If you have any questions about this assignment, please email me.

=>KIP in the BIZ – Source vs Symptom

Much of what we recognize as an issue in our lives or business, is actually a symptom of some deeper matter. We often see procrastination as the source of the problem. We see it as the pressing place that makes us push to get something done, and it may be painful. Procrastination is a symptom, a path to a deeper matter like fear of rejection, or fear of some sort. Reacting in anger at something is the symptom of a deeper matter. How do you address these matters and are you finding that you continue to deal with them constantly? How does this impact your business?  We examine symptoms, identify sources and the means to get through the pressing places to a place of ease and flow.
