I am who I am! … That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!
What a way to start a blog post and how did that make me feel? Liberated! I am who I am and I am being the best me I can be!
I’ve talked to so many people who are hiding, just like I was. Hiding from being their best selves. Why?
There are so many reasons why people choose to hide …
- That’s just not me.
- I’m not good enough to be seen like those I admire.
- I haven’t accomplished as much as I’d like to before I show up fully.
- I’m ashamed of my story.
I have to admit at least one of those is my excuse and when I decided it was more important for me to show up, to play a bigger game, to be the me that I am called by God to be, I came out of hiding.
It was like I was in that Riddick movie, hiding in the rocks so the sun wouldn’t burn me up in an instant. Then I heard my name being called and whoosh, I was picked up and dropped in the safety zone, the light of what Steve Jobs talks about here.
Even more, it was the light of God’s love and I am so grateful! I feel alive and on purpose.
Here’s a post I shared earlier today and it inspired me to write this!
“From a Hawk’s View – I confess … Sometimes I lose sight of the view from the SOAR. It’s then that I realize I’ve been on the ground too long and once again I fly.
